bellē contemporary dance company presents TIES

"TIES," an evening-length dance work, utilizes movement, props, light and video to explore the history of rail travel and the larger concepts of proximity, nostalgia and vulnerability, as well as the intersection of technology and the body. "TIES" is performed by bellē contemporary dance co. and features choreography by Cari Cunningham (Artistic Director) and lighting design by Michael Fernbach. The creation of this piece was made possible by generous support from the Department of Music and Dance, the Department of Speech Communication and Theatre, The School of the Arts, and College of Liberal Arts Scholarly and Creative Activities Grant Program.
